Some fan art linked to The Batman proves how great one upgrade to Robert Pattinson’s suit would be and how desperately I need it to be implemented. As the wait for The Batman – Part II‘s story continues, many fans are finding ways to fill the long gap between movies themselves. Be it crafting theories for the upcoming DC movie, coming up with fan-castings for potential villains, or creating their own art of Matt Reeves’ world, there is certainly no shortage of ways to keep engrossed in the crime saga despite The Batman 2‘s long delay.
As far as upcoming Batman movies go, I am the most excited for The Batman – Part II. I believe this opinion will be shared by many, if not only for the love for 2022’s The Batman but also the excellence of The Penguin, Matt Reeves’ handling of the franchise, and Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight. The latter aspect was revered by many when the first film was announced, as was his DC Elseworlds Batman suit. Despite the love for this costume, a piece of fan art has me desperately hoping that one change to it will be made.
Why The Batman’s Batsuit With A Yellow Belt Is So Cool
A Perfect Blend Of Classic & Modern
The change in question is incredibly simple: a yellow belt. This detail has been part of many Batman suits in DC Comics since the character was first introduced, but is admittedly something that is rarely ever adapted into live-action. While Christian Bale’s Batman had a gold belt and Michael Keaton’s incorporated the yellow, most others keep the belt black or gray to fit the Dark Knight’s eponymous atmosphere. However, after seeing fan art by @rxzarx, I am desperate to see Robert Pattinson’s Batman suit add the DC Comics mainstay aspect.

This art combines a lot of the elements of the Batsuit from 2022’s The Batman, though with the additional yellow belt. It is a simple change, but it looks too cool to ignore. The Batman‘s suit is great for conveying the more grounded tone of the universe. When adding in the yellow belt, the suit not only becomes more dynamic in terms of offsetting color schemes, but it brings to mind the more comic elements of the source material while still not compromising the grounded tone of The Batman franchise.
Like It Or Not, Pattinson’s Batsuit Works As A More Military Look
Belt Or No Belt
Whether Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit has the belt or not, it remains the case that the overall costume works better with military inspirations. In both cases, the suit’s more militaristic feel fits the grittier tone of The Batman universe, rather than something akin to Batman & Robin‘s over-the-top, goofy-looking suits. Whether this type of costume is for everyone or not does not matter; I do not think it can be argued how well it fits the franchise.
Adding the belt into the design does not change that, either. The type of belt emulated in the aforementioned art still has militaristic vibes. Rather than being a giant, fluorescent yellow belt sporting a Batman signal, the belt is more akin to a utility belt that soldiers often wear as a means of holding Batman’s various gadgets and gizmos. This proves that, either way, Robert Pattinson’s Batman suit works much better as a militaristic one than a more comic book-inspired one – and that the belt is a badᴀss addition.
