A new clip for A Working Man shows Jason Statham’s tricks as he knocks out a whole gang. The upcoming action thriller will see Statham as Levon Cade, a former Royal Marine who now lives as a construction worker. After his boss’s daughter is kidnapped by human traffickers, Levon makes it his mission to rescue her. Releasing on March 28 in theaters, A Working Man marks a reunion between Statham and The Beekeeper director David Ayer after the 2024 film became a major box office success with $162 million against a $40 million budget.
In a new clip released by Amazon MGM Studios, Levon takes part in an epic fight. While posing as a police officer, Levon enters Dutch’s lair and faces off against a biker gang. His fighting style is a brilliant departure from previous action movies and takes advantage of its environment. All the while, it showcases Levon’s willingness to kill anyone who stands in his way. What This Means For A Working Man
The Action Choreography Is Extraordinary
A Working Man is the latest Statham action movie to portray him as an everyday worker who is eventually forced to turn to heroism. That’s not far off from his last movie, The Beekeeper, in which he portrayed the тιтular role who seeks vengeance when his friend ends her life after a scam. Even with the star in his 50s, Statham continues to excel in the action genre, with the new clip once again demonstrating his commitment to stunts. The actor himself is known for performing his own stunts, and the clip shows his efforts at translating the physical demands to the screen.
If the action remains this intense throughout the movie, it should easily match The Beekeeper‘s $153 million box office total.
While A Working Man is likely going to be Statham’s only action movie releasing in 2025, the star is not slowing down. The action star has a few more genre movies lined up in the next few years, including 2026’s Mutiny and the recently confirmed The Beekeeper 2. However, Ayers won’t return as the director, and instead, Nobody 2 director Timo Tjahjanto is helming the project. The report does state that the team is hoping to get Ayer involved in a producer capacity.
Our Take On A Working Man’s New Clip
The Dialogue Could Be Slightly Shaky
The clip once again shows Statham as the classic action star he is and that he hasn’t lost a beat. That comes as the actor is nearing his 60s, yet he still has several projects that require lots of physicality. Even though most of Statham’s films have simple premises encompᴀssed by lots of action and fights, as seen in A Working Man‘s trailer, they are still a great part of entertaining moviegoers and escapism culture. The clip only hypes the choreography and action for his next movie, which is no doubt expected to be as successful as his last hit.
