Where To Watch Nosferatu On Streaming

After its acclaimed and successful theatrical run, many audiences have been looking for where Nosferatu is streaming. From filmmaker Robert Eggers, Nosferatu is a remake that has been hailed as one of the best horror movies of 2024. Eggers’ movies so far have included stylistic, acclaimed horror pieces like The Witch and The Lighthouse, but the vampire film has become his biggest financial hit while also earning four Oscar nominations. Nosferatu’s cast lineup includes big names like Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Bill Skarsgård as the main vampire, Count Orlok.

The original Nosferatu film is a cinema classic directed by F. W. Murnau. It’s one of the most famous releases of the silent movie era, dating back over a century to 1922. The story was remade by Werner Herzog in his 1979 version, making Eggers’ remake the first contemporary iteration. The film follows a clerk who travels to Transylvania to meet with an eccentric count, only to be lured into a nightmare that links back to his troubled fiancé. The movie enjoyed success at the box office, but now it is available for fans to watch at home.

Where To Stream Other Nosferatu Movies

The 1922 And 1979 Versions Can Be Streamed Together

Nosferatu stands on its own as a truly unique interpretation of the original story, which itself began as an unauthorized adaptation of Dracula. However, even with the most recent Nosferatu being such an acclaimed modern horror movie, the other versions of the movie are still worth watching. It’s quite rare for movie remakes, but all three versions of Nosferatu are excellent horror projects with unique approaches to the material.

Luckily, for those interested in watching the other versions, they can be found on some of the same streaming platforms. The original 1922 version of Nosferatu as well as the 1979 remake are both available to stream on Prime Video as well as for free on Tubi. Additionally, the 1979 remake also joins the 2024 remake on Peacock. Watching all three versions of Nosferatu shows the way three visionary directors can take separate approaches to the same story.
