Another Terrifying & Visceral A24 Hit Is Coming To Theaters

The Philippou brothers first became known for their YouTube horror-comedies, which earned them numerous streaming awards. In 2022, they made their directorial debut with Talk To Me, following a group of teenagers who communicate with spirits through the use of a severed and embalmed hand. The supernatural horror became A24’s highest-grossing horror film domestically with a Talk to Me 2 in development. Much like the thematic undertakings of Talk To Me, A24’s second collaboration with the Philippou filmmakers appears to explore the horrifying consequences of grief amidst strained familial dynamics.

Hawkins could lead the film as the foster mother overcome with a recent loss. The actor won several awards for her turn in the British comedy series Happy-Go-Lucky, and found similar success on the big screen with her Academy Award nomination for Jasmine and The Shape Of Water. Billy Barratt made history in 2019 when he became the youngest person to be awarded an International Emmy Award for his role in the series Responsible Child. Alongside Sweet Tooth‘s Phillips and newcomer Wong, Bring Her Back rounds out its cast with a mix of venerated talent and rising stars.
