Dylan Sprouse and Mason Gooding’s action thriller Aftermath has a talented cast of actors that help its stars deliver some high-octane thrills. Aftermath quickly became Netflix’s number 1 most popular movie shortly after it was added to the streaming service in mid-February 2025. Though it wasn’t a major hit when it was first released, Aftermath is now one of the best action movies on Netflix, and one of the best new arrivals on Netflix. It’s clear to see from a clip of Aftermath why the movie became such a hit when it arrived on Netflix.

The plot of Aftermath isn’t wholly original: it essentially reimagines Bruce Willis’ Die Hard but on a bridge. Since it didn’t have a novel narrative to fall back on, Aftermath had to rely more on its cast of talented actors, all of whom lived up to the task. From former child stars to popular new science fiction actors, the cast of Aftermath was teeming with talent. Because of them, Aftermath got a huge amount of popularity instead of being written off as another generic action movie.

Dylan Sprouse As Eric Daniels

That unfortunately put them in the middle of a hostage investigation, but after one of the hostage takers threatened Madeline, Eric decided to take them down. Eric also suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, and has flashbacks to his military service.

Character: In Aftermath, Mason Gooding plays Jimmy “Romeo” Roken. Romeo and his team took over the Tobin Bridge both to take out Doc before she could testify and to make demands of the United States government. He was a political extremist and veteran of the military, and he was also in Eric’s path.

Megan Stott As Madeline Daniels

Character: In Aftermath, Megan Stott plays Madeline Daniels. Madeline is Eric’s younger sister, and though they spent two years apart, they remained quite close as siblings. Prior to that, she also starred in Netflix’s Altered Carbon and TNT’s Animal Kingdom. In film, Lachman has starred in major franchises through Jurᴀssic World Dominion and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

Character: In Aftermath, Dichen Lachman plays Doc. Doc is the prisoner being transported in the armored truck and the entire reason Romeo’s team took control of the Tobin Bridge. Though the team was there to get Doc out of the truck, it wasn’t a rescue operation, as Doc had betrayed them prior to the start of the movie.
