Viola Davis Is A Gun-Slinging Action Hero Tasked With Saving The World In G20 Poster

Viola Davis has become a gun-slinging action hero tasked with saving the world as President in a poster for G20, a new original movie from Prime Video. Davis’ best movies have seen her in major, active roles in the story, often portraying no-nonsense characters with a down-to-Earth view of the world. This includes roles such as Amanda Waller in the DCEU’s Suicide Squad movies, Rose Maxon in the 2016 drama Fences, and as Agojie leader General Nanisca in The Woman King. These roles and more have defined her film projects in recent years.

Now, Prime Video has released a poster for Davis’ newest movie, G20, which shows her as a gun-slinging action hero, who’s also President of the United States. The tagline for the poster teases “20 nations” and “19 captives,” with Davis’ President Sutton being the only one who can help them. The poster shows her in front of a presidential vehicle with a machine gun and pistol, wearing a red dress and looking serious. It confirms a release date of April 10, with the post promising a trailer tomorrow. Check out the poster below:

Her other most memorable roles in recent years include Deloris Jordan, Michael Jordan’s mother, in Air, and as lead antagonist The Chameleon in Kung Fu Panda 4.

As for the story of G20, the movie follows Davis’ Sutton after the тιтular global event in Cape Town, South Africa is under threat from terrorists, forcing her to leap into action to save multiple world leaders. The movie has a large cast as well, with stars like Anthony Anderson, Marsai Martin, Ramón Rodríguez, Antony Starr, Douglas Hodge, and Elizabeth Marvel all in starring roles.
