If You Need To Catch Up On The Final Destination Movies Before Bloodlines, Max Just Made Your Life Much Easier

The Final Destination franchise is coming back to life with a sixth movie, тιтled Final Destination: Bloodlines, and if you need to catch up with the previous movies, Max has made it a lot easier. Teen horror movies went through a peak in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and Final Destination arrived in 2000 to add a much ᴅᴇᴀᴅlier twist to them. Despite getting mixed reviews from critics, Final Destination was a box office success, grossing $112.9 million against a budget of $23 million, enough to grant it a sequel three years later.

Final Destination 2 was better received by critics than the first movie and also succeeded at the box office, and so Final Destination became a franchise. At the time of writing, and in addition to the movies, the Final Destination franchise covers novels and comic books, expanding the lore of the movies and Death’s plans. On its movie side, the Final Destination franchise has a total of six movies, of which one has a big surprise. With the sixth movie releasing in 2025, it’s a good time to catch up or revisit the first movies, and it’s now possible thanks to Max.

All 5 Final Destination Movies Are Now Streaming On Max

Max Has Made It Easier To Binge Watch The Final Destination Saga

Max now has all Final Destination movies ready to stream. The saga began with Alex Browning (Devon Sawa) having a catastrophic vision of the plane he had just boarded with his friends, classmates, and teachers exploding mid-air. Alex’s panic leads to him, some friends, and a teacher leaving the plane, which ends up exploding just like in his vision. However, as they cheated Death’s plans by avoiding the plane’s explosion, Death targets them and they begin to die in mysterious and bizarre circumstances.

The Final Destination movies have their twists (though not all of them surprising), and the one in Final Destination 5 is especially notable.

The rest of the Final Destination movies follow the same premise of a character suddenly having a vision of a deathly accident that claims their and many others’ lives. However, Death’s rules have changed in every movie, and so the characters find different possible ways to cheat it and survive. Of course, the Final Destination movies have their twists (though not all of them surprising), and the one in Final Destination 5 is especially notable as it changes the entire movie.

There’s Still Plenty Of Time To Catch Up On The Horror Franchise Before Final Destination Bloodlines

There’s No Rush To Watch All Final Destination Movies

Man connects his nose ring to fan in Final Destination Bloodlines Trailer

Although there are five movies to catch up with before watching Final Destination: Bloodlines, there’s still plenty of time to watch them. Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, Final Destination: Bloodlines is giving a twist to the well-known premise of the franchise. Bloodlines follows a college student experiencing a recurring nightmare that shows her family’s ᴅᴇᴀᴅly fate. To stop it, she returns home to find the person who can help her stop it: her grandmother, who had a catastrophic vision in the 1960s of a collapsing building. Final Destination: Bloodlines will be released on May 16, 2025.

Like previous entries in the saga, Final Destination: Bloodlines seems to be more of a standalone sequel than a direct one. Final Destination 2 was a direct sequel to the first movie, bringing Clear (Ali Larter) back and making the plane explosion part of the story, but Final Destination 3 and The Final Destination are standalone sequels, with Final Destination 5 having a surprise twist. It might not be necessary to watch all the sequels to understand Final Destination: Bloodlines, but they surely are necessary to understand the lore and context of death and its plans.
