After not being featured in several Jurᴀssic World movies, several spinosaurus’ will be included in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. The upcoming Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will serve as a soft reboot for the franchise following the disappointing reception of 2022’s Jurᴀssic World Dominion. The story of Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will follow covert operations expert Zora Bennett, who leads a team of hunters on a mission on a forbidden island to harvest the DNA of dinosaurs left on Earth. As teased by the trailer for Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, the group will encounter a species that hasn’t been seen since Jurᴀssic Park III.
The cast of Jurᴀssic World Rebirth includes Scarlett Johannsson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend. The upcoming Jurᴀssic World movie is set to start a new era for the franchise, while also returning to the roots of what made the original film so special. Spinosaurus’ being featured as one of the kinds of dinosaurs in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is exciting since one hasn’t appeared in the franchise since 2001’s Jurᴀssic Park III. While Jurᴀssic Park III only featured one spinosaurus, the trailer for Jurᴀssic World Rebirth confirms that at least three will appear in the film.
What Happened To The Spinosaurus After Jurᴀssic Park 3
The Spinosaurus Survived In Jurᴀssic Park 3
In Jurᴀssic Park III, wealthy couple Paul and Amanda Kirby agree to fund Alan Grant’s research if he flies them over Isla Sorna, the island where dinosaurs were cloned and raised before being transported to Jurᴀssic Park. However, Paul and Amanda lie to Alan, and are actually a divorced couple who need his help to search for their son, Eric, and Amanda’s boyfriend, Ben, on the island. Upon landing on Isla Sorna, they are immediately greeted by a menacing spinosaurus.
The spinosaurus was basically the main antagonist of Jurᴀssic Park III, and even managed to kill a Tyrannosaurus rex, which was previously the most menacing dinosaur in the franchise. The spinosaurus was still alive at the end of Jurᴀssic Park III, which led many to wonder what happened to it. The animated series Jurᴀssic World: Camp Cretaceous brought the same spinosaurus back and saw it terrorize more people. Camp Cretaceous also revealed that the spinosaurus’ DNA was extracted and combined with the DNA of the Sinoceratops to create a new hybrid dinosaur.
Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Is Giving Fans What They Wanted With The Spinosaurus
At Least Three Spinosaurus’ WIll Appear In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth
Even though the spinosaurus has been featured in video games and Jurᴀssic World: Camp Cretaceous, fans have been wanting one to be included in a movie ever since Jurᴀssic Park III. Unfortunately, the previous three Jurᴀssic World movies did not include a spinosaurus. Thankfully, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is paying homage to Jurᴀssic Park III and includes not one, but three spinosaurus’.
The spinosaurus’ in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth are not the exact same as the one that was previously seen in Jurᴀssic Park III
Three spinosaurus’ are what can be seen in the trailer for the film, but it’s also possible that Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will include more. However, the spinosaurus’ in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth are not the exact same as the one that was previously seen in Jurᴀssic Park III, since they are capable of swimming very well and attack Zora’s team while they are on a boat. Regardless, it will still be great to see this type of dinosaur return in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth since it was such a menacing threat in the series’ third film.
What The Spinosaurus Means For Jurᴀssic World Rebirth
The Spinosaurus’ Will Cause Problems For Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s Characters
Jurᴀssic Park III proved how much of a threat a spinosaurus could be, so Zora and her team will clearly be in a lot of trouble when they get attacked by three spinosaurus’. The spinosaurus managed to defeat the Tyrannosaurus rex in Jurᴀssic Park III, meaning it’s one of the most dangerous dinosaurs ever featured in the franchise. Therefore, several characters could potentially die in the spinosaurus boat attack that is teased in the Jurᴀssic World Rebirth trailer.
The inclusion of spinosaurus’ could also lead to some fan service moments in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. Since the spinosaurus defeating the Tyrannosaurus rex is such an iconic moment in the franchise, it’s possible that Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will include another fight between these two creatures. Additionally, since the spinosaurus from Jurᴀssic Park III was never revealed to be ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, it’s possible that it could also be included in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. Overall, the inclusion of spinosaurus’ opens the door for many possible exciting moments in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth.
