Scream: Ghostface May Be Done With Personalized Calls — But You Can Still Buy “Call Me” Merch

The Ghostface “Call Me” website was a brilliant marketing move in the leadup to the release of Scream 6 and while the offered calls are no longer available, savvy shoppers can still grab themselves a piece of “Call Me” merchandise. The sixth movie in the Scream franchise, aptly тιтled Scream 6, brings the frights to New York City, and while the setting has changed, the beloved tropes and callbacks have not. Ghostface, long knives, twist reveals, classic characters, and of course, the requisite Ghostface phone call are all back in the 2023 slasher.

Ghostface has a lot of memorable quotes in Scream, but by far, the most famous ones come when Ghostface is speaking to his next unfortunate victim on their phone, soon to reveal that he or she is now in the house with his hapless target. Those opening scenes of an unsuspecting teen or young adult picking up a phone to hear the high-pitched taunting voice cursing them are some of the most memorable sequences in horror franchises. For a little while before Scream 6, fans could get their own personalized call from Ghostface. Now, they’ll just have to settle with merch.

A Website Promoting Scream 6 Offered Personalized Calls From Ghostface

The Site Now Just Says To Watch Scream In Theaters

Back before Scream 6 was coming out, fans could go to https://apps.paramountpictures.com/movie/ghostface/us/ to receive their very own call from Ghostface. On the screen was an image of Ghostface and the text, “I’m dying to call you.” Once a button on the screen was pressed, Ghostface would greet the user and ask if they liked scary movies. Then, users would be invited to enter their first name and phone number. After a few minutes, they would receive a call from the familiar Ghostface voice.

The prerecorded Ghostface would use the user’s name and taunt them before giving them a jump scare, or, alternatively, ask the user to guess where they were hiding before hanging up. The number, (917)-540-7996, is a New York City number, hinting at the setting of the next film. The website is no longer active and only says, “I’m done calling. But don’t worry, you can visit me in theaters“, though now even that is outdated and could use a change.

The original web address for the site, HelloGhostface.com, now leads to the Paramount Movies information page for Scream 6.

There is a chance that the Ghostface “Call Me” website could return. Scream 7 has been announced and, after some production hiccups, the film is set to release on February 27, 2026. So far, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding, and Jasmine Savoy Brown are returning from the previous films. It’s possible that the marketing team for Scream 7 will decide to revive the “Call Me” website in much the same way that Ghostface keeps coming back.

Where To Buy The Best Ghostface “Call Me” Merch

Shirts And Sweaters Are Available With The Phrase

For those interested in claiming a piece of memorabilia from that website, there are plenty of shirts and t-shirts available with the exact tagline, usually with Ghostface giving a “call me” hand gesture. Amazon, Spencer’s, Target, and more all offer some variation of the shirt. Generally, these are custom designs, but they are still a worthwhile purchase for Scream fanatics and for those who got on too late to the “call me” Ghostface fun.
