All Marvel Movies Releasing In 2025

After delays from previously announced slates, there are a number of promising Marvel movies releasing in 2025. Marvel Studios kicked off Phase 5 of the MCU in 2023, and a little more than two years later, the MCU timeline will proceed into Phase 6. With the end of the Multiverse Saga approaching, it’s hoped that the Marvel movies coming out in 2025 will be more integral to the overarching story, and/or continue other plot lines established in Phases 4 & 5.

In addition to the MCU movies releasing in 2025, Sony may have a Spider-Man movie hitting theaters. Both studios have at least one film that was pushed from 2024 as a result of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which were resolved in late 2023. Thanks to both Marvel and Sony, there will be plenty of exciting superhero movies for audiences to enjoy – as well as TV shows that will feature some beloved comic book characters. So, here are all the Marvel movies that are releasing in 2025.

Captain America: Brave New World – February 14, 2025

Sam Wilson’s Cinematic Debut As Captain America Welcomes Harrison Ford To The MCU

Captain America: Brave New World is the fourth Captain America movie as part of the MCU, but the first led by Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson. Mackie’s character previously debuted in the second Cap movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and became good friends with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Sam was given the shield at the end of Avengers: Endgame, and properly took on the mantle by the end of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV. When Captain America: Brave New World releases on Friday, February 14, 2025, it will be Sam Wilson’s first solo movie in the MCU.

The Captain America: Brave New World cast includes some returning Marvel characters – one played by a new actor. Following the pᴀssing of William Hurt in 2022, Harrison Ford takes on the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who will be President of the U.S. in the film and will finally turn into the Red Hulk.

Based on the official trailer released during D23 Brazil, Captain America: Brave New World looks to be a political thriller along the lines of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with one plot point featuring Isaiah Bradley “activated” to ᴀssᴀssinate President Ross. The footage also gave fans a glimpse at Captain America’s new helmet along with a facemask that presumably helps when he flies at supersonic speeds.

In addition to Mackie and Ford, the movie stars Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres, who takes up the mantle of Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns, aka the Leader, a villain from the comics. Actress Shira Haas joins the MCU, reportedly as the Israeli hero Sabra.

Thunderbolts* – May 2, 2025

Marvel ᴀssembles A Team Of MCU Antiheroes On The Big Screen

Marvel’s Thunderbolts* movie is the first of two team-focused MCU films to release in 2025. It ᴀssembles characters from past MCU movies who haven’t always been on the right side of history, gathering them together to operate in a team under the direction of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). When filming on the movie began, it was confirmed the тιтle was Thunderbolts*, and Marvel chief Kevin Feige refused to explain the meaning of the asterisk. Thunderbolts* releases on Friday, May 2, 2025, taking the MCU’s typical early May release spot.

The Thunderbolts team in Marvel’s 2025 movie will be led by Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier, played by Sebastian Stan. The other confirmed members of the Thunderbolts* movie cast include Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova aka Black Widow, Wyatt Russell as John Walker aka U.S. Agent, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr aka Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov aka Taskmaster.

A special look at Thunderbolts* was released at D23 Brazil, highlighting the various character dynamics that will be present in the film and revealing a bit more about what the plot will entail, including Bucky seemingly trying to round up a few of the members. Yelena Belova still looks to be a big focus in the film, as she talks about finding purpose and escaping the past in the trailer.

The Fantastic Four – July 25, 2025

Marvel’s First Family Joins The MCU

After Disney acquired a number of Fox film and TV ᴀssets in 2019, Marvel Studios announced The Fantastic Four movie, which is set to follow one of Marvel’s most well-known teams of superheroes. The Fantastic Four: First Steps releases on Friday, July 25, 2025, two weeks after James Gunn’s Superman hits theaters. Official artwork for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has hinted at a period setting in the 1960s. Since the heroes haven’t previously been mentioned in any MCU projects, it’s been theorized The Fantastic Four will be set in another universe in the MCU multiverse.

What is known is the main cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm aka The Thing. Additionally, Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal aka Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson will play the planet-devouring Marvel villain Galactus. Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich and Natasha Lyonne have been cast in undisclosed roles.

Now that Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, it is possible that he might also appear in The Fantastic Four: First Steps prior to those films. With Galactus and Silver Surfer both in the film, though, it might feel crowded with Doctor Doom around, especially with the anticipated return of Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU.

Blade – TBD

Mahershala Ali Was Cast As Marvel’s Daywalker In 2019

Marvel’s Blade movie has hit a few snags throughout the course of its development, including some behind the scenes changes to the creative team, which have led to the movie being delayed from its original 2023 date. Currently, Blade was removed from Marvel’s 2025 release calendar which puts the film in limbo, with Mahershala Ali playing the тιтular vampire-hunting Daywalker. Ali’s voice has already appeared in the MCU, with the actor having an uncredited cameo in the Eternals post-credits scene, talking to Dane Whitman about the Ebony Blade, a powerful and magical weapon in the comics.

The film has gone through an extremely turbulent production, losing multiple directors tied to the project as well as writers.

Blade is one of the biggest question marks for the MCU at the moment. The film has gone through an extremely turbulent production, losing multiple directors tied to the project as well as writers. A number of actors are no longer attached, and the inclusion of Wesley Snipe’s Blade in ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine was met with fans wanting to see him step into the role again.

Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse – TBD

The Miles Morales Trilogy Capper Was Delayed From Its Original Date

The conclusion to Sony’s animated Miles Morales trilogy, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, was originally scheduled to release on March 29, 2024. However, the movie was taken off Sony’s release slate in 2023 and a new date hasn’t been announced yet. It’s likely Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will receive a release date in 2025. However, no release date is confirmed at this time, and it is possible that it could be delayed into 2026 given the lack of updates around its production.

Following the cliffhanger ending of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Beyond the Spider-Verse is expected to continue the story of Miles Morales, who has been captured by another version of himself, one that became the Prowler. Although Miles’s friend Gwen Stacy has ᴀssembled a team of his friends and allies to help her rescue him, he’s also being pursued by Miguel O’Hara aka Spider-Man 2099. Other returning characters expected to appear in Beyond the Spider-Verse include Peter B. Parker, Spider-Punk, Spider-Man India, Spider-Man Noir, and Jess Drew’s Spider-Woman.

MCU TV Shows Releasing In 2025

The Television Side Of The MCU Continues On Disney+

Since MCU Phase 4, Marvel Studios has been including TV shows as part of their shared cinematic universe, to differing levels of success. In 2023, it was reported that Marvel was changing the way they produced their television shows, and Disney CEO Bob Iger made a point to say on multiple occasions that Marvel would be slowing down how often they released new shows and movies. Both these changes came after criticisms of rushed TV productions and too many releases in a year.

In October 2024, Marvel Studios released a Look Ahead Trailer that featured all the series that would be coming to Disney + in 2025. Despite Iger talking about slowing down on projects, that doesn’t seem to be the case in 2025, as Marvel Studios will have six shows coming out; three live-action and three animated ones. Among those are Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, Eyes of Wakanda, Marvel Zombies, and Wonder Man. It’s a varied slate of characters that could shake up things for the MCU moving forward.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man – January 29, 2025

A New Beginning For The Wallcrawler

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is the latest iteration of Marvel’s iconic hero, featuring a brand-new take on the character, as he struggles with being Spider-Man during his freshman year of high school. It was originally envisioned as a prequel to Tom Holland’s version of the character, but eventually became an original story for Peter Parker, with some notable differences from other versions of Spider-Man and his cast of characters.

The show is an animated, 2-D style project with a unique art direction that will help distinguish itself from other animated series. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man was released on Disney + on January 29, 2025, and has received overwhelming positive reviews, with many praising its story and fully realized characters. It’s a fantastic start for Marvel in 2025, as Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’s first season will run for 10 episodes before the rest of their TV slate kicks off.

Daredevil: Born Again – March 4, 2025

Charlie Cox Returns as Matt Murdock After His Canceled Netflix Series

Following the cancelation of Daredevil, it seemed Charlie Cox’s time playing Matt Murdock was done. However, that changed when he appeared in a surprise cameo in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. Since the Netflix Defenders Saga was folded into the official sacred timeline, Matt Murdock returned in Echo and She-Hulk, and will star in his own series, the Daredevil: Born Again show. Marvel confirmed Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on March 4, 2025, on Disney+.

In addition to Cox, the series features returning stars Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle aka The Punisher, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page. Wilson Bethel will also return as Bullseye, who was one of the main villains of Daredevil season 3. Fans can finally see his story continue in the upcoming series after the Daredevil series ended on a cliffhanger with the character.

Ironheart – June 4, 2025

Riri Williams Returns After 2021’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Dominique Thorne was introduced as Riri Williams, a legacy Iron Man character in Marvel Comics, in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She’s next set to appear in the Ironheart TV show, which will depict Riri’s full origin story and how she constructs a suit of armor like those worn by Tony Stark. It had been known Ironheart would be coming for years, but a vague timeframe was all that was said.

Now, Ironheart will premiere on Disney + on June 4, 2025. It’s a new era for the MCU regarding Iron Man-esque characters, and Riri Williams will look to carve out her own legacy in her upcoming series. Anthony Ramos (In the Heights) also joins the cast as Parker Robbins / The Hood, who will be another magic user added to Marvel’s roster.

Eyes Of Wakanda – August 6, 2025

A New Look Into Wakanda

The Black Panther franchise for Marvel has been incredibly successful in terms of box office as well as critical acclaim. Black Panther was nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards and won Best Original Score, Best Costume Design, and Best Production Design. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was nominated for Best Supporting Actress and won for Best Costume Design. Now, the world of Wakanda is set to be explored even more in the upcoming series.

Eyes of Wakanda will be released on Disney + on August 6, 2025. It will be an animated series set within the MCU and will feature a number of stories revolving around Wakandan warriors trying to recover vibranium artifacts over the course of Wakanda’s history. It is always great to return to Wakanda, and Eyes of Wakanda will be the next look into one of the MCU’s best locations.

Marvel Zombies – October 2025

Marvel’s Unᴅᴇᴀᴅ Will Rise

Marvel Zombies has been teased a number of times throughout the MCU. First was Zombie Iron Man attacking Peter Parker in a Mysterio illusion in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Though it was just a nod to the iconic comic run, the idea of incorporating it into the MCU was just beginning. What If…? featured an entire episode about Zombies and showed that a premise like Marvel Zombies could work amazingly for an animated television series.

Marvel Zombies will be released on Disney + on October 3rd 2025, just in time for Halloween festivities. Marvel Zombies will be a TV-MA rated series, meaning it will be one of the most violent shows for the MCU yet, indicating the different directions Marvel Studios is willing to take with their properties. Like Eyes of Wakanda, the series will only consist of four episodes.

Wonder Man – December 2025

Time For A New Hero

Wonder Man is set to introduce a brand-new hero into the MCU. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will star as Simon Williams, who is an actor and stunt performer that gains superpowers and becomes Wonder Man. Alongside him is Ben Kingsley, reprising his role as Trevor Flattery from Iron Man 3 and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The series will consist of ten episodes, with Shang-Chi and Spider-Man 4 director Destin Daniel Cretton directing the first two.

Wonder Man will be released on Disney + in December 2025, marking the end of the calendar year for Marvel Studios. The Wonder Man show has been a long time coming for the MCU, since it first went into development in 2021. Wonder Man has the chance to be a significant part of the MCU going forward, so seeing him in his own series is exciting.
