Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Bringing Back A Lost Scene From Jurᴀssic Park Makes The Upcoming Reboot Even More Exciting

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will surely excite fans of the franchise with content cut from the original Jurᴀssic Park. Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is scheduled to be released on July 2, 2025, to the delight of Jurᴀssic Park aficionados everywhere. It is the fourth movie in the rebooted Jurᴀssic Park franchise, under the тιтle Jurᴀssic World. However, with the movies released just before it in the Jurᴀssic World trilogy receiving negative reviews, a lot is riding on the new dinosaur extravaganza coming out in July. Bringing in previously deleted material could potentially help the movie take off.

The Jurᴀssic World Rebirth movie is written by David Koepp, who also wrote the first two Jurᴀssic Park movies. This alone is a reason to be excited about the upcoming picture, as Koepp was partially responsible for the blinding success of the first two movies in the Jurᴀssic Park series, along with the directorial mastery of Steven Spielberg. After 2022’s Jurᴀssic World Dominion flop, Jurᴀssic Park sorely needs an uplift, potentially through the guidance of Koepp. Koepp, wisely, is bringing content he ditched previously to Jurᴀssic World Rebirth.

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Will Include A Scene From The Novel That Wasn’t In Jurᴀssic Park

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth May Start A New Jurᴀssic Park Era

Jurᴀssic Park cut a Jurᴀssic World Rebirth scene that was described in Michael Crichton’s 1990 novel, Jurᴀssic Park. Speaking to Variety, Koepp confirmed: “There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for.” Excitingly, this could suggest that Jurᴀssic World Rebirth may have more in common with Jurᴀssic Park than Jurᴀssic World Dominion. Koepp’s return to the franchise, and the fact that Spielberg will executive produce the movie, supports this idea. The upcoming movie may also look to Jurᴀssic Park for tone and pacing.

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Must Go Back To The Franchise’s Roots After The World Trilogy’s Problems

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Needs To Use The Original Movie’s Strengths

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will use the screenwriter, director, and source material of Jurᴀssic Park, signaling a wise return to former principles. Although Jurᴀssic Park‘s director (Spielberg) will be returning in a different capacity and the movie will only use a small part of Jurᴀssic Park‘s source material, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth appears to be taking a sharp turn away from the disappointment of Jurᴀssic World Dominion. The Jurᴀssic World trilogy was commercially successful, enabling future ventures in the franchise, but had many storytelling problems. Gareth Edwards, set to direct, appears to be addressing these.

As director of Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, Edwards is tasked with helming a standalone sequel to Jurᴀssic World Dominion. It is wise for the movie to follow its own, unique story. However, it is also critical for the movie to pick a logical point in the Jurᴀssic Park and World timeline, rather than going back on past movies, erasing their hard work, and adding numerous retcons. Perhaps Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, with its exciting use of David Koepp and material from Jurᴀssic Park, really does signify the new direction that the franchise has been needing.
