Mark Wahlberg’s new high-stakes thriller movie Flight Risk features a small but strong cast. Directed by Academy Award winner Mel Gibson, Flight Risk was released in theaters on January 23, 2025. It follows the high-stakes and suspenseful story of Wahlberg’s Daryl Booth, a pilot who accompanies a U.S. Air Marshall (Michelle Dockery) and a dangerous fugitive (Topher Grace) awaiting trial. They travel through the Alaskan wilderness where tensions rise and trust levels fall as true idenтιтies and motivations are revealed. Flight Risk was written by Jared Rosenberg in his feature film debut.

As depicted in the trailer of Flight Risk, Wahlberg’s Daryl is a hitman who has been hired to eliminate Winston, a mob informant. The trailer already reveals Daryl’s idenтιтy twist, which also acts as the hook of the new thriller. The U.S. theatrical release of Flight Risk was delayed from October 18, 2024 to January 24, 2025. Flight Risk marks Mel Gibson’s first directorial effort since his 2016 Oscar winner Hacksaw Ridge starring Andrew Garfield and just the fourth movie he directed in the last 20 years (Apocalypto in 2006, The Pᴀssion of the Christ in 2004). Gibson’s The Resurrection of the Christ, a supposed sequel to Pᴀssion, is expected to be released in 2026.

Actor: Mark Wahlberg, 53, is one of the most recognizable movie stars in the world. Originally from Boston, Mᴀssachusetts, Wahlberg rose to fame as the younger brother of Donnie Wahlberg of the popular boy band New Kids on the Block. Michelle Dockery As Madolyn Harris

Actor: Michelle Dockery, 43, is a well-known actress from EsSєx, England. She is best known for starring as Lady Mary Crawley in the Emmy-winning period drama series Downton Abbey (2010–2015). Dockery was nominated for three consecutive Emmy Awards for her Downton Abbey role. She later appeared as Lady Mary Crawley in the films Downton Abbey (2019) and Downton Abbey: A New Era (2022).

Actor: Topher Grace, 46, is an American actor born in New York City. He is best known for his lead role as Eric Foreman in the hit television sitcom That 70’s Show (1998-2006), which marked his first appearance in film or television. Grace made his feature film debut in the 4-time Oscar winner Traffic in 2000 before appearing in an uncredited role in 2001’s Ocean’s Eleven. Grace starred in several notable films during the 2000s, such as Mona Lisa Smile (2003), In Good Company (2004), Spider-Man 3 (2007), and Valentine’s Day (2010).

Grace also appeared in Christopher Nolan’s space epic Interstellar in 2014.
