Nicole Kidman’s Children Are Not Going To Watch Babygirl
They Have No Interest In It
Kidman’s children do not want to watch her in Babygirl. The A24 movie sees Kidman playing the role of Romy Mathis, a powerful CEO who has an affair with her young intern, Samuel (Harris Dickinson), that quickly spins out of control. Babygirl‘s critical reviews have been largely positive, with the movie holding a 77% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes. In addition to acclaim for the movie and for Kidman’s performance, Babygirl has performed well at the box office, and continues to climb the chart of A24’s all-time highest-grossing movies.
Antonio Banderas plays Romy’s husband, Jacob, in Babygirl.
While speaking with The Telegraph, Kidman explains that her children will not be seeing Babygirl because they do not want to see their mother in an erotic thriller. Her adult children, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, are 32-year-old Isabella and 29-year-old Connor and she has two other children, 16-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret, with her husband, Keith Urban. Well, my daughters aren’t seeing it. But they’ve also declared that they don’t want to see it. Neither of them has any interest in seeing Mum like that.
Our Take On Nicole Kidman’s Comments
Her Children’s Stance Is Understandable
Kidman’s children not wanting to see their mother in an erotic thriller is an understandable reaction. Romy and Samuel’s Babygirl relationship would be incredibly uncomfortable for her children to watch and not only for the same reasons that may make other viewers uncomfortable. If her children are interested in seeing more of their mother’s acting, they have several decades of Kidman movies and television shows to choose from that will be far more comfortable to watch. Some critics have described Nicole Kidman‘s Babygirl as a must-see movie, but for her children, they understandably will not be seeing it.
