Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Wears Comics-Accurate Cowl For His Fight Against Ryan Reynolds’ ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool In ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine Edited Video That Looks Like An Actual Deleted Scene

A new ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine video edit imagines the deleted scene every fan wishes were real as the Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes fight while Logan wears his comic book-accurate cowl. Hugh Jackman first played Wolverine in 2000’s X-Men. Despite having appeared in two different X-Men movie timelines and led the Wolverine trilogy, the actor only got to wear his Marvel character’s iconic yellow and blue costume in ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine. While news about ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool 4 happening does not come, fans have been revisiting the movie, and a talented one has made Jackman’s Wolverine suit debut even better.

VFX artist Captainsting shared what Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine with his cowl fighting Ryan Reynolds’ ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool would have looked like.

In the MCU movie, the character only gets his iconic cowl near the end of the film. Jackman pulls down his cowl before ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool and Wolverine fight the ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool Corps. The video edit gives the Marvel mutant his full costume way earlier in the film, as Wolverine has his cowl, which looks great, while fighting Reynolds’ ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool when they arrive at the Void. The cowl looks perfect in motion, making the case for Wolverine to wear it in future MCU movies.

How The New ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine Video Edit Changes The Heroes’ Fight Scene

The MCU Movie Fight Becomes More Epic

ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine was Marvel Studios’ first R-rated movie. As such, the project could get bloodier than any other film in the franchise had ever gotten to, and Marvel surely made the most of it. ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool and Wolverine’s fight in the Void offered a nice dose of violent superhero action to get the blood pumping as the film starts. Not yet liking one another, the moment allows the two Marvel mutants to let out their frustrations with each other and showcase how powerful Hugh Jackman’s new Wolverine variant is. However, something was missing.

The new ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine video edit shows that Logan’s cowl was the missing element. After all, Reynolds’ ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool was wearing a very comic book-accurate costume that did not skip a beat. Finally donning Wolverine’s yellow and blue suit from the comics, Jackman looked the most like the mutant he ever had. However, the newly added cowl gives the whole fight a finishing touch that makes it truly feel like a living and breathing comic book on the big screen. The edit also shows what the Wolverine suit looks like with the cowl and shoulder pads at the same time.

Our Take On The New ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine Video Edit

Hugh Jackman Wearing Wolverine’s Classic Costume Is Perfect

The new ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine video edit makes the case for why Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine should wear his cowl in every movie he appears in from now on. It just looks impeccable in action, and the cowl makes Wolverine’s whole look pop and feel complete. With Marvel Studios thriving when it goes all-in on the comics, I hope we continue to see exciting X-Men costumes that don’t involve dull black leather looks when the team formally debuts. Seeing Wolverine fight others in ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine with his yellow and blue costume and cowl was a treat for comic book fans.
