When it comes to noteworthy upcoming movies, one film that may have flown under the radar for some is One of Them Days, a comedy produced by Issa Rae, starring Keke Palmer and musician SZA in her acting debut, with plenty of different avenues when it comes to finding a way to watch the film. One of Them Days follows the story of two best friends, Dreux, played by Palmer, and Alyssa, played by SZA, who have to try and come up with enough money to pay their rent for the month after Alyssa’s boyfriend steals it.

Keke Palmer is very well known for her acting across the years, and, at least based on One of Them Days‘s trailers, SZA seems to be pulling her own weight as well.

One of Them Days is being distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, with an exclusive theatrical release starting on January 17, 2025. The film is set to be one of the first theatrical releases of the year, with no premium format viewings available, but there should be plenty of general viewing options. Fans of SZA’s music looking to see her film debut, or those looking for a straightforward comedy film can certainly find tickets by looking for tickets in their local theaters.

When Will One Of Them Days Release On Streaming?
The Date Itself Is Uncertain, But There Are Clues As To When
Sony hasn’t announced when One of Them Days will be streaming just yet, as they’re certainly going to want to wait to see how the film performs in theaters before deciding on a streaming home for the comedy. However, based on Sony’s track record, One of Them Days is likely to be released on Netflix sometime around May 2025, about four months after its theatrical release. Sony’s 2024 catalog, films like Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, The Garfield Movie, and Bad Boys 4 were released on Netflix in the same four-month window, but the film’s box office performance will also be a factor.

Of course, One of Them Days‘ digital release will be earlier than its arrival on streaming, and Sony’s previous releases do shed some light on when that might be. However, again, the box office totals that One of Them Days sees will most ᴀssuredly have an impact, as a poor performance could lead to an early PVOD release.
