Sylvester Stallone teams up with Scott Eastwood and Willa Fitzgerald for new action/spy romp Alarum, which arrives in theaters and digital on the same day. The latest Stallone action movie casts the screen icon in a supporting role, with Eastwood and Fitzgerald playing rogue agents who quit their agencies to get married; sadly for them, their honeymoon gets interrupted by various intelligence organizations coming to kill them. Hopefully, Alarum will break Stallone’s disappointing recent action streak, with his previous outing Armor having nabbed 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The cast and talent behind this 2025 action thriller make it seem promising, however, especially thanks to the presence of Reacher breakout Willa Fitzgerald in Alarum. The film should also benefit from the always welcome presence of Mike Colter (Plane) as the villain of the piece. Lionsgate has made the film available in select theaters and on digital on the same day, giving audiences some choices to pick from regarding how they watch.

Lionsgate has yet to announce when Alarum will find its way to streaming, and there are question marks over where exactly it will land. Lionsgate split from Starz in 2024, which was their streaming home for many years. Right now, it isn’t clear if the studio will continue that streaming partnership or if they will make deals with other platforms. For Lionsgate movies, there tends to be a 160-day gap between its theatrical and streaming releases, meaning Alarum’s streaming release could be somewhere around June 2025.
