The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep Unveils First Look in New Trailer: Watch

Fans of The Witcher series rejoice, as Netflix has just shared a new trailer for the upcoming anime film, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep. The new trailer gives fans a first glimpse at the movie, as well as featuring some of the returning voice talent.

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep is the second animated film in The Witcher series, following on from 2021’s The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. Once again animated by Studio Mir, the film was originally set for a 2024 release before being bumped back to 2025. It’s based on the short story “A Little Sacrifice” by series creator Andrzej Sapkowksi, drawing directly from established material. The film is set to see Doug Cockle reprise his role from the games as Geralt of Rivia, while other actors from the live-action series will be reprising their roles, such as Joey Batey as Jaskier.

The new trailer features Geralt arriving in a land along the sea, where tensions with the nearby Merpeople are reaching new heights after several divers have gone missing. Geralt is hired to deal with the monster problem, and finds himself working alongside a girl named Essi Daven (played by Christina Wren). While it seems from the trailer that both human and Merpeople are trying to avoid a war between their two peoples, there are other forces at work that might be angling for war after all…

Fans don’t have long to wait to watch the film for themselves, as it will be hitting Netflix on February 11, 2025.
