Captain America: Brave New World Runtime Listed By Theaters (But Is It Real?)

The Captain America: Brave New World runtime has been listed at different movie theaters ahead of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie’s release, but they’re all saying something different. The MCU timeline is getting closer to finishing Phase 5, and the first Marvel movie releasing in 2025 will be Captain America: Brave New World, featuring the return of Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson. However, with the film’s release only a month away, conflicting information has started to emerge regarding Captain America: Brave New World’s runtime.

Multiple theaters have started to list the runtime for Captain America: Brave New World, with AMC Theaters having it at 1 hour and 58 minutes. However, Regal and Odeon are both listing Captain America: Brave New World’s runtime at 2 hours, while IMDb has it at 2 hours and 15 minutes. An official runtime has not been given by Marvel Studios or their parent company Disney. Check out each listing below:

What The Captain America: Brave New World AMC Runtime Means

Due to the fact that different runtimes currently exist on various listings, there are certain factors to take into account when evaluating how long Captain America: Brave New World will be when it releases. In the cases of AMC Theaters, Regal, and Odeon, their listings are seemingly meant to be placeholders, as this is something theaters will do regularly before a film’s release. With a platform like IMDb, it is less credible than an official statement from Marvel, since anyone can edit and contribute to a movie’s page.

Given there have been a lot of reshoots and rewrites for Captain America: Brave New World, it is very possible that the film’s runtime has been different lengths at different points in the post-production process. But in the end, Captain America: Brave New World’s runtime will be determined when director Julius Onah and Marvel Studios make it official. In the meantime, these current listings are likely close to what the actual runtime will be for the Phase 5 movie, but shouldn’t be taken as confirmation.

Our Take On The Captain America: Brave New World AMC Runtime

Sam Wilson and Joaquin Torres in the Leader's lair in Captain America Brave New World

If the AMC Theaters’s listing for Captain America: Brave New World’s runtime is true, it would make this the shortest installment in the Captain America movie series. The shortest one to this point was Captain America: The First Avenger, which was 2 hours and 4 minutes; the 2011 film would beat Captain America: Brave New World by only a couple of minutes if AMC Theaters, Regal, or Odeon’s listings end up being accurate. Hopefully, Marvel Studios will clarify this matter about Captain America: Brave New World sooner rather than later.
