Terrifier 3 Streaming Release Date Revealed

The streaming release date for Terrifier 3 has been revealed. The 2024 slasher sequel, which follows Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) returning five years later for a bloody Christmas rampage, was written and directed by franchise creator Damien Leone. The cast also includes returning stars Lauren LaVera as Art survivor Sienna Shaw and Elliott Fullam as Sienna’ younger brother Jonathan. The movie became a runaway theatrical hit, with the Terrifier 3 box office climbing to a whopping $89.8 million against a budget of just $2 million.

On their official X account, Screambox has announced that Terrifier 3 will debut on streaming on Valentine’s Day, launching on their platform on February 14. The horror-themed streaming service, which is also the streaming home of Terrifier 2, is available both independently and as a Prime Video add-on. The release of the slasher sequel on Screambox will be followed a month later by a making-of documentary тιтled Art Attack! The Dissection of Terrifier 3, which debuts on March 14. What This Means For Terrifier 3

The Slasher’s Streaming Date Is Perfect

The fact that the movie will arrive on streaming on Valentine’s Day is the perfect cherry on top of its unusual release schedule. Although the Terrifier 3 story takes place during the Christmas season, the movie debuted on October 11, 2024, just a few weeks before Halloween. This disconnect between the holiday onscreen and the holiday that accompanied its theatrical run has been given a cheeky nod by the fact that it will debut on Screambox on yet another unrelated holiday.

Terrifier 3 is the only Art the Clown property to take place on Christmas so far, as the previous installments have all been set on Halloween.

The streaming release of the Christmas horror movie is also perfectly timed to take advantage of the fact that the upcoming Valentine’s Day-themed slasher movie Heart Eyes will debut the weekend before, on February 7. That movie, which stars Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding as coworkers who are mistaken for a couple by a serial killer, could reinvigorate general audience interest in holiday-themed slasher movies just in time for the triumphant return of Art the Clown.

Our Take On The Terrifier 3 Streaming Release Date

Art The Clown Could Keep Climbing

It remains to be seen how the movie performs once it lands on streaming. However, if its Screambox debut echoes the critical and commercial success it had during its theatrical release, which included glowing Terrifier 3 reviews earning it a Certified Fresh score of 78% on Rotten Tomatoes in addition to the movie’s franchise-best worldwide box office haul, it could very well become a tentpole тιтle for the streaming service in spite of its incongruous holiday release date.
