Directed by newcomer Lawrence Lamont, with a script written by Syreeta Singleton (Insecure), the upcoming buddy comedy stars Keke Palmer and SZA, the latter in her film debut, as two roommates who must race against the clock to avoid eviction and preserve their friendship after one of their boyfriends steals their rent money. The cast also includes Vanessa Bell Calloway, Maude Apatow, Katt Williams, Amin Joseph, Gabrielle Dennis, Lil Rel Howery, and Janelle James.
Now, ahead of its theatrical release on January 17, One of Them Days has debuted with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie has 24 reviews at the time of writing, so the score could fluctuate as more are published. With fewer than 50 verified ratings, the film doesn’t yet have an audience score, though that will change soon after it releases in theaters.
