Popular DCU Batman Casting Choice Dons The Cape And Cowl Alongside Damian Wayne In The Brave And The Bold Art

One of The Brave and the Bold‘s many fan-cast Batman actors wears the Dark Knight’s DCU costume alongside Damian Wayne in a fan-made artwork. With The Brave and the Bold‘s release date still a long way from being confirmed, all details about its plot and cast will remain a mystery for some time. In the meantime, fans continue to propose a wide variety of candidates for the role of the DCU’s Batman, and DC Studios is setting the stage for Batman’s live-action introduction with multiple cameos and the introduction of other Gotham villains and heroes.

Artist John Regan shows what Brandon Sklenar could look like as the DCU’s Batman in The Brave and the Bold. In the image, Brandon Sklenar wears a dark gray Bat-suit with black cape and cowl, a dark yellow utility belt, black trunks, and white eye lenses. Next to Sklenar’s Batman stands Damian Wayne, played by Halo actor Casper Knopf, wearing a comic-accurate Robin costume, complete with green boots, black-and-yellow cape, a domino mask, and a blade. What The Brave And The Bold’s Batman & Robin Fan Art Means

The Search For The DCU’s Batman & Robin Probably Hasn’t Started Yet

Brandon Sklenar’s rising career and 6’1″ height make him a strong candidate for the Batman role in The Brave and the Bold. At 34 years old, the 1923 star is just the right age to play a seasoned Batman with a young son and a long superhero career ahead of him. Casper Kopf also rocks the Damian Wayne costume, though he may end up being a little too old to play the DCU’s first live-action Robin by the time The Brave and the Bold is ready to film. The conditions for The Brave and the Bold‘s casting process may vary until then.

Our Take On The Brave And The Bold’s Batman & Robin Fan Art

The DCU Can Try Many New Things With Its Batman & Robin

Comic book art: Batman Investigates While Robin wields a Sword.

DC movies have presented various live-action Batman portrayals throughout the years, each with their own spin on the character. But while Batman has been one of Hollywood’s favorite comic book characters to adapt, there are still many aspects of the character that haven’t been explored on the big screen to their full extent. In the DCU, an actor like Brandon Sklenar could play a version of Batman who can be just as serious as Robert Pattinson’s or Christian Bale’s, but also less grounded in realism than every portrayal so far.

As shown by fan artwork, Brandon Sklenar’s Batman could wear a Batsuit that works as believable protective gear, but also as a superhero costume with classic elements such as the black trunks, the white lenses, the cape’s serrated border, and a more varied color scheme. The DCU’s Damian Wayne could also wear a practical suit that pays homage to his comic book costume and mask. With Matt Reeves’ The Batman franchise in charge of telling a gritty and grounded Batman story, the DCU’s Brave and the Bold could establish a much different take on Batman.
