Winnie-The-Pooh & Peter Pan Face Off In New Poster For Blood & Honey Crossover Movie, Poohniverse: Monsters ᴀssemble

Poohniverse: Monsters ᴀssemble has a new poster teasing a showdown between Peter Pan and Winnie-the-Pooh. The upcoming Poohniverse: Monsters ᴀssemble is an installment in the franchise known as the Twisted Childhood Universe, which transforms various public domain children’s characters into horror movie villains. The franchise includes Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey and its sequel, the recent Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, and the upcoming Bambi: The Reckoning and Pinocchio: Unstrung. Poohniverse, which is set for an October 2025 release, will be directed by TCU creator Rhys Frake-Waterfield and features returning monsters from all five movies alongside incoming characters.

A new poster for Poohniverse: Monsters ᴀssemble has now debuted on the official Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 X account. The poster, which features the tagline “place your bets,” features Winnie-the-Pooh and Peter Pan facing off against one another, seemingly preparing for a showdown. The poster bears a striking similarity to the poster for the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street crossover Freddy vs. Jason, which advertised the 2003 movie by showing Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger posed as if they were at the beginning of a boxing match. What This Means For Poohniverse: Monsters ᴀssemble

Viewers Can Expect Monster Battles

This poster for the upcoming Twisted Childhood Universe movie seems to tease the fact that, at least for a certain period of time, the horror villains at the center of the movie will fight one another instead of teaming up to murder innocent people. This sees the movie taking after Freddy vs. Jason once more, as that movie followed Freddy using Jason to reignite fear in potential victims, thus allowing him into their nightmares, only for him to become annoyed at Jason’s overzealous killing and take on the hockey masked killer himself.

Monsters Set To Appear in Poohniverse

Original Subfranchise

Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare

Pinocchio: Unstrung

It seems possible that the various factions of horror movie monsters could even team up against one another. Should this be the case, Poohniverse could take after the Godzilla movies from the late Shōwa era, in which Godzilla would frequently team up with one or more other kaiju to take down an opponent such as Gigan, Megalon, or Hedorah. However, in between battles, it still seems highly likely that the monsters will claim a variety of human victims, to keep up with the franchise’s traditional body count.

Our Take On The Poohniverse: Monsters ᴀssemble Poster

The Battles Could Have Real Stakes

While other horror crossovers such as Freddy vs. Jason and Alien vs. Predator have taglines similar to “place your bets,” they have so far tended to avoid declaring a definitive winner. However, the Twisted Childhood Universe has already proven itself to be unafraid to have its central monsters die, at least temporarily. This makes it very likely that several of them will perish at one another’s hands in Poohniverse: Monsters ᴀssemble, giving the showdown a much stronger sense of stakes than it might otherwise have had.
