Reality TV icon Katie Price insisted she isn’t “getting away with it” after being declared bankrupt for a second time over an unpaid tax bill costing over £750,000
Katie Price has reacted to the recent announcement she has been made bankrupt for a second time.
The reality TV star failed to pay over £750,000 in unpaid tax and faces losing her home if she can’t cough up the money to HMRC. Speaking on the Mail’s comedy podcast Straight to the Comments!, she opened up about her financial news.
Katie didn’t show up at the latest court hearing that took place in London and was held for her to plead her case to HMRC. A High Court judge declared her bankrupt after an official from HMRC revealed she hadn’t paid any money owed or responded to them.
The news broke as Katie was speaking on the podcast, leaving her shocked, and saying: “Has it? Oh get lost! Are you actually serious, while I’m sat here? What have I done now?”
Katie added: “I know I had court last week or the week before. Because of what’s going on in my life, I’ve actually been signed off because I’m dealing with serious stuff.
“There’s all different kinds of bankruptcy, I think they just use the word bankruptcy. No one actually knows the ins and outs of everything.
