Iranian state media is desperately pushing the narrative that the U.S. military’s operation to fully open the Strait of Hormuz “failed miserably.” According to Tehran, American forces were repelled and suffered heavy losses.
The truth is very different.
U.S. forces, led by the 3rd Infantry Division, Navy Marines, and elite special operations units, continue to maintain strong operational control over critical sectors of the strait. While Iranian forces launched fierce resistance using swarms of fast boats and coastal missiles, American air power — particularly AH-64 Apaches and A-10 Warthogs — along with naval support, inflicted heavy losses on the IRGC.

The claim of a “miserable failure” is classic Iranian propaganda designed to mask their rapidly deteriorating position. In reality, international oil tankers are already moving with increasing safety through the strait under growing American protection, and U.S. forces continue to expand their footprint on key islands and coastal positions.
President Donald Trump dismissed the Iranian claims immediately, stating:
“Iran lies every single time they lose — and they are losing badly. Our forces are performing with excellence. The Strait of Hormuz will be fully secured.”

Despite the heavy fighting, America’s overwhelming technological and firepower advantage remains unchallenged. The Iranian regime is simply unable to accept the reality that it is losing control of its own backyard.
The battle for the Strait of Hormuz is not over — but the momentum is firmly with the United States.
America does not fail.
America adapts, strikes harder, and ultimately prevails.
Stay strong — the United States is in control.
